His work explores pattern making, symbolic resonance, and improvisation to create installations out of textiles, paper, sound, performance, and objects. Through quilted fabrics, music, garments, painting, and light, among other media, he invites the experiencer of his works into a space of meditative contemplation which synthesizes traditional ideas and images (from Tibetan and Zen Buddhist, Esoteric Christian, and art historical sources) with contemporary conversations.
